Corporate shoot – 2012 Annual Report

Corporate shoot – 2012 Annual Report

I’ve had the privilege to photograph the staff at a Toronto-based corporation for the past few years for their annual report.  This year’s theme was “action shots” and here’s what we came up with. We also set up a portable studio to capture the board members in various poses and composited them into a large group...

Vivian & Leon – Wedding at Liberty Grand

Vivian & Leon – Wedding at Liberty Grand

I’d like to share some yet unposted images from a shoot I did as a second photographer with my friend Dave Biesse of “Dave & Charlotte”: Ceremony at the beautiful St. Paul’s Basilica in Toronto: So elegant!  This shot always makes me think of a Parisian high-fashion product, a-la Chanel. After the ceremony, we visited the Evergreen Brick Works for some stylish portraits with the wedding party: Reception at the elegant Liberty Grand in Toronto: The décor, details and entertainment were all top-notch: If I remember correctly, one of grandmothers made this magnificent cake for the lucky...

Lisa & Mike – Wedding at Casino Rama

Lisa & Mike – Wedding at Casino Rama

Lisa was so excited that her day had finally arrived, despite the rainy start to the day, and it was absolutely infectious.  However, the rainy weather didn’t prevent us from having a ball and getting some fantastic shots in the morning of Lisa & Mike’s beautiful wedding at Casino Rama in Orillia, ON. The ring pillow was made of moss and adorned with pristine Orchids.  Made for a great backdrop for the rings shot: Mother of the bride helping with the dress: Panoramic shot from the balcony of Guardian Angels Church in Orillia: After the ceremony, we headed back to Casino Rama for some portraits in the lobby: After the family shots, the sky opened up to reveal a beautiful deep blue sky!: The amazing Silvernightingale Ballroom at Casino Rama: First dance: We made time during the reception to grab a few more romantic shots with the happy couple: It was a lot of fun working with you both and I hope you’re having a fantastic time on your honeymoon! Cheers,...

Amanda & John – An Elegant Country Wedding

Amanda & John – An Elegant Country Wedding

A beautiful, warm late-summer’s day was the perfect setting for Amanda & John’s elegant country wedding, just outside of Orillia, ON.  As the owner of Calgary Wedding Planning Co., Amanda ensured that every detail was in place to make for an enjoyable day for them and their guests:   The ceremony took place in the gardens of an old 1800’s home in the country – what a beautiful setting! Some of the details from the morning and ceremony location: I love this moment between John and his mom right after the ceremony: The old Ford made for a great photo prop: Some of the beautiful details from the reception (the tables were named by historical dates in the history of the home): During the reception, we popped out to a nearby field for some romantic sunset photos: We ended the night with a fantastic professional-grade fireworks display under a full moon! Congratulations to the both of you.  I can’t wait to show you the rest! Cheers,...

Kirsten & Mike – Wedding at Sunnyside Pavilion

Kirsten & Mike – Wedding at Sunnyside Pavilion

I recently had the great fortune of being hired to photograph the wedding of professional model Kirsten Visima and her husband Mike.  We all had so much fun and I wish I could take all of the credit for these shots, but honestly Kirsten made my job so much easier with her years of experience in the modeling industry: A slightly different dress shot (thanks to Elaine for holding it out there for so long while we got it just right): A little love from the infrared camera: Here, I isolated the bride with a long lens and narrow depth of field while shooting on a busy street in front of the house: Walking down the aisle with Dad at Sunnyside Pavilion in Toronto: A few great moments during the ceremony: After the ceremony, we toured around the picturesque grounds at Sunnyside Pavilion for the formal portraits: We took a break in the evening during the reception to capture a few more romantic bride and groom sunset portraits: Even a power outage didn’t stop us from getting some more great shots later that night… …and the party continued, power outage or not! Thanks to you both for a wonderful day and for making my job so easy! Cheers,...
