Amy & Dave
It was a bit cold and drizzly, but we toughed it through and got some great shots on Saturday.
We had lots of time so we ended up getting a few shots of the guys at their place before the ceremony (in between the poker and pool...which we got some photos of too):

Then off to see the beautiful bride:

I love the expression in this shot as the happy couple emerges from the church!:

After the church we went to the old family home where the bride's Mom grew up and got some awesome shots in the barn out back:

A little homage to the famous painting "American Gothic", and the Bride and Groom's reaction afterwards...I guess I should have studied the painting a bit before I tried this since we got the pitchfork in the wrong place (and could have shot it in front of the farmhouse instead), but it was still fun:

I'll have to shoot in barns more often. What a cool background and beautiful natural light!

I know you said you like black & white, Amy, so here you go:

This was such a touching moment. Dave's grandfather wasn't feeling well enough to make it to the reception so Amy & Dave paid him a little visit before they headed off to dinner. What a sweet thing to do, and just look at the joy it brought him:

This is the wife of the grandfather who couldn't make it:

Well, the weather could have been nicer, but with such warm caring people and great friends, even the worst weather couldn't have put a damper on this special day.
I hope you two are having an awesome honeymoon (somewhere warmer, I hope).
Cheers,
Michael
