Giovanna & Mike - Wedding

We had a great day up in Caledon with Giovanna & Mike and we couldn't have asked for better weather - it was just perfect!

Mike and his best man keeping an eye out for the limo before the ceremony:

They chose a great location for their photos and reception: The Royal Ambassador

I hope your honeymoon went as well as the wedding (and that the weather was just as nice)!

Cheers,

Michael

Leilani & Andrew - Wedding

Well, we didn't have the greatest weather...in fact there was a torrential downpour for most of the ceremony and formal photo session but that didn't stop Leilani & Andrew from having a great day nor did it prevent us from capturing some awesome images:

High Park wasn't going to work so we ended up at their condo's lobby and made the best of it:

The rain let up a bit before we left for the reception so we managed to get a few at Humber Bridge where Andrew proposed:

The reception was at Palais Royale on Lake Shore (Toronto). What a cool place!:

Here's something you don't see everyday. Leilani was a member of a Hawaiian dance group and her friends gave us all an awesome show during the reception!

Speaking of Hawaii, have a great honeymoon!

Cheers,

Michael

Kerri & Ben - Engagement

What are the odds? It was beautiful out all day until 7:15 when it started raining (we started the 2hr session at 7:00pm). It didn't stop raining until about 8:45 but luckily we didn't cancel 'cause the rain was really a blessing in disguise...

One of the few shots we got before the rain started (downtown Oakville):

A minute or two after the previous picture, it started pouring down like crazy! All three of us were huddling under the umbrella for a while and although I did manage to get a few shots in that position, I felt like it was going to limit my composition a bit...so we made a mad dash for the coffee shop nearby. What a cool place! I'll have to get the name of it and add it here:

When the rain finally let up, it left us with some magical light and an amazing sky!

I can't wait for the wedding in Niagara-On-The-Lake! Iveta and I always love to visit there and we'll have plenty of great photo ops!

Andrea & Dan - Wedding

Andrea and Dan chose a very picturesque little spot for their wedding at the Willow Pond Country B&B in Bowmanville ON.

A candid moment while Andrea and the girls were getting ready:

Here's an infrared shot with a bit of a twist - for the curious, I channel-swapped the red sky in the original colour image to give it a more natural blue colour and left the rest as B&W.

Andrea wanted to get a shot with her 90 year-old grandfather and we got lots of fun moments with them together:

This was such a great moment. Dan was playing Andrea a song on the piano (man, and he can PLAY) when his guest popped in to join him with some well-timed slides!:

After popping outside to check out an uninvited winged visitor, we grabbed a few shots infront of the beautiful sunset:

I'm not sure what it is, but there's just something about this moment that I liked. Andrea was trying to get the little one's attention, but I think she was hypnotized by the flashes of red and white light from my camera:

I hope you have a great time on your cross-European honeymoon (I'm so jealous)!

Cheers,

Michael

Jennifer & Tom Engagement

From the beautiful family home to Gabby's - a local pub down the street - we had a great time getting some fun pics for Jennifer & Tom's Engagement session:

I love these serious ones - esp. when the in next image of the same series they're laughing their butts off!

See you in November!

Cheers,

Michael

Sarah & David

I knew this was going to be an easy day when the bride was way ahead of schedule and practically ready by the time I arrived at the house...this practically never happens! Plus, I knew David was going to have fun since he's a photo enthusiast himself and I could tell he wished he had his camera with him (but good job leaving it with your friend...I'm sure Sarah appreciated that sacrifice). ;)

What a gorgeous spot for the ceremony! ;)

Wooooshhhhh! During a few formals of the girls we inadvertently entered a wind tunnel!

Here's a different idea for the bridal party shot (notice the reflections in the window):

I've got to remember to take out the IR camera more often!

We had such a beautiful day and check out that sky!

There are so many more great shots (if I do say so myself) but I can only show so many...we're going to have an awesome album!

Cheers,

Michael
