Off to New Zealand!!

Hey everyone,

Well we're off to the airport in a couple of hours and I wanted to let you all know that I'll be away from Jan. 31st to February 20th. I'm not sure if we'll have access to email while we're away, but if you need to get in touch, please drop me a line and I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Diana & Ryan - Engagement

It was a cold January evening so we started out indoors and had some fun with some with interesting light and some relaxed romantic shots:











I usually offer to take individual portraits during these sessions but most people don't take me up on that for some reason. I'm glad Diana & Ryan did!







Later on, we popped over to Streetsville for a change of pace and found some cool backdrops:











Here are the last few shots of the session. I think they were really happy to get out of the cold. ;)

Rosie & Jody - Wedding

I recently discovered that I like winter weddings! It means that we get to stay inside where it's nice and warm (but not 45 degrees with the humidity) and I get to play more with my lighting toys!

We got some cool shots at the condo in the morning:






I'm glad Rosie thought to bring this with her (you'll see why later):


The church had some amazing stained glass behind the altar!


The lighting was tricky in the large hall at the Mississauga Civic Centre but I think the results were worth the extra fiddling:


Did I mention that I like shooting inside with my lighting kit?












I don't know how cold it was outside but it felt at least -20C. They may not look cold in the photos, but believe me - we were freezing! I'm glad Rosie & Jody were willing to tough it out for these shots though!




I hope you guys had a safe flight back to Japan!
