Laura & David - Engagement

Here is a great example of why engagement sessions can be a valuable experience. Like most couples, Laura and David never took part in anything like this before and were a little apprehensive before we started. Well, it didn't take long for them to get comfortable! I think it's safe to say we all had a great time.

We started at their apartment and took some cool shots before heading out to High Park:

Luckily they only lived a few minutes away from High Park so we snapped a few on our way down. I love this moment between them:

Damn, I love shooting in the late afternoon!

It was really tough to narrow it down to only 14 images for this blog entry. There were many great posed shots and tons of beautiful moments between them. I know we'll have an amazing time at the wedding!

Cheers,

Michael

Family Portrait

Like many families, it's difficult to gather everyone together when they are scattered across the country. This family was able to find a weekend to spend together at the family cottage. They took advantage of this rare occasion to have some pictures taken.

We started by setting up some group shots of everyone (we almost sank the dock with this first one):

This little guy was so expressive. We captured many great shots of him having fun - this was one of my favourites.

Half-way through the session it started to rain so we went inside and concentrated on getting some candids of the family:

I hope you all had fun and that you enjoyed the rest of your family get-together.

Cheers,

Michael
