Lynsey & Ryan - Wedding

A beautiful fall day made for the perfect setting for Lynsey & Ryan's wedding. Not only was it unseasonably warm but the colourful fall foliage made for some awesome backgrounds for the photos in the afternoon...

As usual, we got lots of great photos of the bride before we headed off to the ceremony at Trinity United Church in Omemee:

The colours outside of their country home were fantastic:

I love shooting weddings in October...the colours and low-lying autumn sun combine to make for some great photo opportunities!

The reception was held at The Evinrude Centre in Peterborough and here is my obligatory "last shot of the night":

I hope you two had an awesome day!

Cheers,

Michael

Jaye & Fraser - Wedding

After an exotic wedding getaway in Jamaica, Jaye and Fraser came home to Canada to renew their vows with family and friends.

It was a very laid back preparation in the afternoon before the ceremony and provided us ample opportunity for some relaxed portraits:

As they often do, the adorable flower girl stole the show:

We then made our way to Jackson's Park in Peterborough and although the conditions weren't ideal, we still had some fun with the fall foliage:

The reception took place at the Holiday Inn in Peterborough and we made good use of the nearby train bridge for photos before the evening ceremony:

Later in the evening, we borrowed Jaye and Fraser for a few more portraits around the hotel:

I hope you two had a great time at both of your wedding celebrations!

Cheers,

Michael

Katie & Josh - Engagement

Katie & Josh will be married next year at The Briars near Sutton ON and decided to have their engagement photos taken there as well. If the wedding turns out like the engagement, I think we'll be in good shape:

There were lots of cool antique-filled rooms inside for portraits:

...and the exterior had some really interesting features as well:

This one took a few takes to get the leaves just right, but I think it was worth it:

It was getting pretty chilly outside so we decided to explore some more indoor locations...and I'm glad we did:

For a couple of people who were "really uncomfortable having your photos taken", I think you two rocked this session! I hope it will put you more at ease about the wedding photos and we'll at least know that we have lots of great spots for photos!

Cheers,

Michael

Sarah & Frank - Wedding

Sarah & Frank, together with Bliss Events, put together a beautiful wedding. It all came together perfectly, even though Sarah & Frank were living in Phoenix at the time!

I love having extra time in the morning for some portraits of the bride. It's well worth the time spent, as the following images show:

The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Clements church in Toronto:

It was nice having some extra time with the guys before the ceremony as well:

Then we made our way downtown to the TD Bank Tower for a few photos before heading up to Canoe Restaurant for the reception:

The amazing view from Canoe's 54th floor windows. The food is just as good or better than the view:

Their band Soular sounded awesome!:

I hope you both had a great day and a safe trip back to Phoenix!

Cheers,

Michael

Laura & David - Wedding

The Old Mill in Toronto is a very popular spot for weddings in the GTA. It provided plenty of great photo opportunities both indoors and out for Laura & David's wedding:

We had a lot of fun exploring some cool spots for photos while at the same time making sure we didn't bump into the guys before the ceremony:

The ceremony took place in the Wedding Garden at the Old Mill:

I knew we were going to get some great photos after the awesome engagement session. Hope you both had a wonderful day!

Cheers,

Michael

Katie & Colin - Wedding

It's been almost a year since I shot Katie's brother Kevin's wedding and now it was Katie's turn to take the spotlight as she and Colin tied the knot at their intimate country wedding in the Kawarthas.

The "first kiss" of the day was not from Colin:

We had lots of time before the ceremony to create some beautiful portraits of Katie:

The ceremony and reception took place on the lakefront property of a family home near Bridgenorth Ontario:

I love this reaction of the mother-of-the-bride as Katie and Colin are announced as "husband and wife":

I knew I wanted this shot as soon as I found out about the location during our initial consultation. It turned out almost exactly as I had imagined it:

I hope you both had a great day and a wonderful time on your honeymoon!

Cheers,

Michael
